Roberto Fabbri Biography
Concert player, composer, author and teacher, he studied Classical Guitar, under the direction of Carlo Carfagna, at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, where he graduated in 1986 with honors and where he subsequently obtained the Academic Diploma of II. level in Classical Guitar in 2007 with 110 cum laude.
Internationally recognized as one of the greatest exponents of contemporary classical guitar, Fabbri has always supported his concert career with a considerable editorial activity, collaborating with numerous publishing houses (Anthropos, Berben, Playgame, EMR, Warner Bros, Carisch, Music Sales, Hal Leonard, Ricordi). His more than 40 guitar publications are translated into five languages, including Chinese, and distributed around the world.
He regularly holds concerts and masterclasses, together with prestigious names on the international guitar scene, in the most important guitar festivals and in the most famous concert halls in Europe, the United States, South America, Russia and Asia. He has to his credit numerous CDs including two soloists for Egea “Beyond“ and „No Words“ and for Sony “Nei tuoi occhi“.
He is the official testimonial of the prestigious Ramirez lutherie.
He is guitar teacher at the Gaetano Braga State Conservatory of Music in Teramo where he also directs the Guitar Department.
He is artistic director of the International Guitar Festival of the city of Fiuggi.
