- 1968: Conservatory of the City of Vienna
- 1977-1984: University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna – violoncello performance with Valentin Erben
- 1984-1985: University of Cincinnati, USA – study with the LaSalle Quartet
Pedagogical Experience:
- 1993-1998: University of Music and the Performing Arts in Graz – guest professor for chamber music
- 2007: University of Music and the Performing Arts in Graz – instructor of chamber music
- Since 2008: Violoncello studio at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory
- Regular master classes, for example in France (Pablo-Casals-Festival), US (Yale University) and Austria
Artistic Experience:
- Appearances as soloist
- 1997: World premiere of Gottfried von Einem‘s “Music for cello solo”
- 2001: World premiere of Herwig Reiter’s Cello Concerto at the Berlin Concert House
- 2006: World premiere of the rediscovered cello works by Alexander Zemlinsky at the Wiener Musikverein
- CD recordings of the Zemlinsky Sonata (NAXOS), Cello-works of the Fin de Siecle, Haydn Cello Concertos, Richard Rössler cello works and piano trios (all on Camerata Tokyo)
- Artis Quartet
- Since 1980: Member of the Artis Quartet, concertizing worldwide
- Since 1988: an annual concert series at the Wiener Musikverein
