  • Study of classical guitar at the Josef Matthias Hauer Music School in Wiener Neustadt
  • 1986-1989: Study of jazz guitar at the Prayner Conservatory Vienna, graduation with honors
  • Since that time work as a musician, composer and band leader
  • Workshops, seminars and continuing education with Harry Pepl, Frank Gambale, Les Wise

Pedagogical Experience:

  • Since 1991: Jazz guitar teacher at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory Eisenstadt
  • 1993-1998: Electric guitar teacher at the Music School Eisenstadt
  • 1997-2001: Guitar teacher at the Vocal College/Polycollege Stöbergasse in Vienna
  • Workshops for electric guitar and jazz guitar throughout Austria
  • Since 2005: Head of Department for Jazz and Pop Music at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory
  • Freelance guitarist and composer in Wiener Neustadt
  • Lecturer at the Jazz Seminar Zeillern and Music Days Gleisdorf

Artistic Experience:

  • Live appearances: Jazz Festival Montreal, Jazz Festival Leverkusen, Jazzfest Wiesen, Klangartfestival Osnabrück, Shepperd’s Bush London and lots of touring all over the world
  • worked with: Tangerine Dream, Bob Berg, Bob Mintzer, Rick Margitza, Gary Willis, Kirk Covington, Adam Nitti, Hansi Lang, Viktor Gernot, Hallucination Company, Hot Pants Road Club, Alexander Göbel, Starmania, Monika Ballwein, Christiana Uikiza, Patricia Simpson, Dennis Jale, Adi Hirschal, Wolfgang Böck, Dancing Stars Orchestra and many more.

  • CD “Sally Beth Roe” – Best Album Pop/Rock in the 2009 Concerto Readers‘ Poll
